SUE CALLAGHAN FCIOBDIRECTOR
Sue started her consultancy business Callaghan Consultants in 2006 following her early successful career working for main stream Contractors and Developers in London and the Home Counties. Sue has secured many specific commissions and has extensive experience in building up and managing consultant project teams.
Sue’s base skill is Building Estimating, and her varied experience includes trouble shooting, interim commercial management; surveyor management; project management; land value calculations; cost planning; full elemental budgeting; cost control and cost reconciliation commissions. She also has experience in contract negotiation, procurement, dispute management and system and procedural review and training.
Recently Sue has been working for a Contractor on a troubled 450+ unit residential scheme in North London, running the commercial team with a focus on non-contentious settlement, dealing with key subcontract accounts, negotiating settlement terms and reviewing and forming commercially considered views on apportionment of cost and blame.
Over the last five years Sue has also been involved with running the cost planning and bid team for a successful tender bid for a three site, 1500 unit redevelopment scheme in South London; Led the master-plan cost planning for a £200m Mixed-Use scheme in West London; Run a contractual and procedural review of contracts with a leading developer; carried out a high level commercial review on a £70 million + scheme to facilitate a prompt settlement rather than a lengthy legal battle in a contractor/developer dispute.
